PUBLIC ADVISORY:

ORDINANCE NO. 17-034
Ordinansa na nagbabawal sa paggamit, pagmamay-ari, o pagbebenta ng vape/e-cigarette sa mga menor de edad (below 18 years old)

Ipinagbabawal din ang mga tindahan (business establishments) na magbenta ng vape/e-cigarette at anumang sangkap (component) nito gaya ng e-liquid/juice sa mga menor de edad

PARUSA:
Sa mga lumabag na menor de edad: PHP500.00 - PHP1,500.00 at pagkumpisa ng vape/e-cigarette device

Sa mga may-ari ng tindahan: PHP1,000.00 - PHP3,000.00 o isa hanggang tatlong buwang pagkakakulong o pareho, at pagkansela ng business permit sa ikatlong paglabag.

Sang-ayon din sa Republic Act (RA) No. 11900 o Vaporized Nicotine and Non-Nicotine Products Regulation Act (Vape Law), ang pagbebenta, pag-promote, pag-advertise, at product demonstration ng Vaporized Nicotine at Non-Nicotine Products o Novel Tobacco Products sa loob ng 100 metro mula sa isang paaralan, palaruan o iba pang pasilidad na madalas puntahan ng mga menor de edad ay ipinagbabawal.

Mahigpit ding ipinagbabawal ang paggamit nito sa mga sumusunod na pampublikong lugar:

(a) Centers of youth activity such as play schools, preparatory schools, elementary schools, high schools, colleges and universities, youth hostels and recreational facilities for persons under eighteen (18) years old;
(b) Elevators and stairwells;
(c) Locations in which fire hazards are present, including gas stations and storage areas for flammable liquids, gas explosives or combustible materials;
(d) Within the buildings and premises of public and private hospitals, medical, dental and optical clinics, health centers, nursing homes, dispensaries and laboratories;
(e) Public conveyances and public facilities including airport and ship terminals and train and bus stations, restaurants and conference halls, except for Designated Vaping Areas (DVAs);
(f) Food preparation areas;
(g) Churches and other similar places where people congregate for worship; and
(h) Within the building and premises of government offices, except for DVAs.
