The City Government of San Jose, under the leadership of Mayor Mario “Kokoy” Salvador, acknowledges that establishing a city college is an important step in taking San Jose’s development to new heights. An investment in the future of the city, this endeavor aims to provide students, especially underprivileged ones, access to quality education. This, in turn, will help them develop skills that will prepare them for their future careers.
With the establishment of a city college, the City Government also aspires to create an educated workforce that can contribute to the growth of the local economy. Ultimately, this project is seen to be vital in building community pride as it provides a space where people can come together to learn, grow, and make the most of educational opportunities that can benefit generations to come.
This survey aims to: (1) establish the need for a city college in San Jose, (2) identify target clients and their educational needs, (3) determine possible course offerings, and (4) collect information needed for the city college’s human resource and campus development plan.
