SPES Application

The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) is now accepting applications for the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) until March 4, 2024.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- high school, college, and vocational students, or out-of-school youths who intend to continue their education
- 15-30 years old
- residents of San Jose City
- combined income (net after tax) of parents does not exceed PHP189,504.00 per annum
- currently enrolled this school year (SY)/term or the previous SY/term preceding the summer vacation
- garnered a passing grade during the SY/term or last SY/term attended in case of drop-out
- no dropped, incomplete, or failed grades
To apply, visit PESO (2nd floor, City Hall Building) and bring the following requirements:
1. long, white folder with a fastener
2. 6 pcs passport-size pictures with name tag (signature over printed full name)
3. 2 pcs photocopy of birth certificate (from Local Civil Registry or PSA)
4. 2 pcs photocopy of valid ID of parents/beneficiary (bring the original valid ID for verification)
5. 2 pcs photocopy of grades (bring the original copy for verification):
• College level - photocopy of 1st or 2nd semester grades AY 2023-2024
• Vocational level - photocopy of Certificate of Completion
• High School level - photocopy of Form 138 (2nd or 3rd grading period SY 2023-2024 with the signature of adviser/principal;)
• Out-of-School Youth - grades or certificate from last school year attended
6. Certificate of Indigency from Barangay (kung walang trabaho ang mga magulang/guardian; kailangang nakalagay pareho ang pangalan ng mga magulang/guardian sa certificate)
7. Certificate of Tax Exemption or No Income from BIR (kung walang trabaho ang mga magulang/guardian; kailangang nakalagay pareho ang pangalan ng mga magulang/guardian sa certificate)
8. Income Tax Return (ITR) Taxable 2023 (kung may permanenteng trabaho ang magulang/guardian sa gobyerno o pribadong kompanya)
*Ang SPES ay programa ng DOLE na naglalayong magbigay ng pansamantalang trabaho sa mga estudyante at out-of-school youth tuwing bakasyon para matulungan sila sa kanilang pag-aaral.
