Best agri-business practices, itinuro sa Southeast Asian Visitors

Nagbahagi ng kaalaman ang Farmer Entrepreneurship Program (FEP) Learning Resource Center ng Lungsod ng San Jose sa isinagawang ASEAN Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Fellows’ Visit kahapon (September 7) na ginanap sa KALASAG consolidation area sa Brgy. San Agustin.
“The SEA Games was just recently concluded but it seems like we are holding another South East Asian event here considering the contingents that are present. But we are not here for some games or sports, though. We are here for community development. We are here to extend each other’s hand to help and build communities,” pambungad na pagbati at pormal na pagtanggap ni Mayor Kokoy Salvador sa mga delegadong nagmula pa sa mga bansang Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia at Myanmar, kabilang din ang mga panauhin mula sa Metrobank Foundation at The Jollibee Group Foundation.
Ilan sa mga pinag-usapan dito ang Farm to Market Chain, Farmer’s Net Income at Agro-Enterprise na tinalakay ng FEP Center, KALASAG Producers Cooperative at ng Jollibee Group Foundation.
Isinagawa ang naturang aktibidad upang makapagbahagi ng kaalaman ang mga San Josenio tungo sa matatag at responsableng pagnenegosyo sa Southeast Asia.
Nagkaroon din ng Hot Pepper Farm visit kasama ang mga bisita na pinangunahan nina Punong Lungsod Kokoy Salvador, City Cooperative Development Officer Tina Corpuz, City Agriculturist Violeta Vargas at ilan pang mga kawani mula sa CCDO at City Agriculture Office.
