City Library garners top award

The San Jose City Library and Information Center won first place in the 2019 Search for Outstanding Public Libraries with Special Programs and Outreach Services on "Malasakit" to the Different Sectors in the Community.

The award was received by City Librarian Helen Ercilla, together with the City Library staff last November 29 during the closing ceremonies of the 29th Library and Information Services (LIS) Month at the National Library of the Philippines in Ermita, Manila.

Mayor Kokoy Salvador likewise received a Certificate of Recognition for his remarkable leadership to the advancement of Philippine public librarianship, his selfless dedication and exemplary actions to public library services as role model for local government officials, and his unrelenting advocacy to the plans, programs, and activities of San Jose City Library and Information Center.

Said awards were presented to the public today (December 2, 2019) during the LGU flag raising ceremony at the City Social Circle.
