Electricity in the city is supplied by the San Jose City Electric Cooperative (SAJELCO). The independent electric cooperative is supervised and given technical assistance by the National Electrification Administration (NEA). The SAJELCO substation which is located in Barangay Calaocan can generate a capacity of ten (10) mega volt amperes (MVA) servicing a total connections of 32,346 as of December 2015.
