For the second time, San Jose City is the only city in Nueva Ecija to have been awarded the highest recognition accorded to local government units: the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG).

This is the fourth SGLG awarded to the LGU of San Jose City, the previous ones being in 2018, 2019, and 2022.

The Department of the Interior & Local Government (DILG) did not conduct an evaluation in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
